The AEG AEG Presents live music division promoted Simon Jones to the new position of Senior Vice President Live Music International.
In his new role, Jones will direct the international promotion operations of AEG Presents UK, expanding the company's international tourism footprint, working closely with AEG offices in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Role creation is further based on the global presence of AEG Presents and follows the opening of its Paris office at the start of 2018.
Jones, who has spent almost nine years in AEG lately as Vice President, Live Music, will report directly to the managing directors of AEG Presents London, Steve Homer and Toby Leighton-Pope.
Discussing his new title, Jones said: "In the last few years I have enjoyed building the international tourist arm of our UK office, it is a great passion of mine and I am excited to continue to expand further, with some incredible shows and tours to be announced soon.
"What we have achieved since AEG Presents was launched in the UK has been phenomenal and I am sure we can continue to raise the stakes both here and in the rest of the world. "

Since entering the market of the Kingdom United over a decade ago, AEG Presents has built a strong presence in concerts, festivals and venues.
In 2017 alone, the company has promoted over 800 live events in the UK, and its festivals include Barclaycard Pr esents British Summer Time Hyde Park and the newly created All Points East.
Major AEG shows that this year will take place in 2019 and will include Shawn Mendes' European tour, Ed Sheeran South Africa stadium tour, Asian tours for Khalid and Calum Scott, Rodriguez in Australia and New Zealand and UK tours for Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne, Tom Odell and The Vamps.
Recent successes in both the UK and internationally include Ed Sheeran in Asia and the Middle East (2017/18) and his three concerts of the sold out stadium in Glasgow (2018), Justin Bieber tour in the UK (2016 / 2017) arena tour of Craig David (2017), London Grammar and Father John Misty in the United Kingdom in addition to the annual series of shows BRITs Week.
