The department says that the case is given the highest priority.

Dirco & # 39; s Mxolisi Nkosi says: "We have called the vice-ambassador of the United States to discuss this with her and we have expressed our dissatisfaction with President Trump's statement."

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May, entered the country during a three-day trip to sub-Saharan Africa.

Nkosi says that May's visit is an opportunity for South Africa to strengthen its economic ties with the United Kingdom.

"It is an opportunity to consolidate the excellent relationships between our two countries, especially the broad cooperation we have with trade and other areas."
