JOHANNESBURG – A fireman who died during a fight in a government building in the Joburg CBD, will be released on Friday.
The funeral service of Simphiwe Moropane is held this morning in Daveyton.
His two colleagues also died in last week's fire.
Robert Mulaudzi, Emergency Management Services: "He will not only be missed by his relatives, but also by the rest of us as the EMS family.
"We promise to preserve the legacy that he has left behind by ensuring that we provide effective, revolutionary emergency services to all Johannesburg residents."
An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire in the building that does not comply with the safety regulations.
