Police spokesman Hazel Maqala said a Blue Mazda 3 with registration FFM218EC was parked on Wednesday afternoon in Cambridge Street for a tire fitting center.
Maqala said that the father of the missing man, Warrant Officer Floyd Meyers, was busy at the store when an unknown man entered Meyer's vehicle and drove away.
The son of Meyers, who has Down's syndrome, was in the vehicle at that time.
