Johannesburg – Mpumalanga police made an amazing discovery of heroin, estimated at R3.3 million, hidden in the hood of a car when they stopped and sought a vehicle that came from Mozambique.
The drugs were packed in yellow plastic bags and filled in the hood of the old black sedan.
Mpumalanga police spokesman Colonel Mtsholi Bhembe said the discovery was made on Monday morning around 9 o'clock and that the man who controlled the car managed to get away and still be at liberty.

He said the suspicion was that the man was a Mozambican citizen.
"The license plates of the vehicle were registered in Mozambique, coming from Mozambique and coming to the country [South Africa]. When the vehicle entered the border, there was an operation. Officers stopped the vehicle and asked to search it.
"The officials wanted to search the engine compartment, the driver said the bonnet was difficult to open and pretended to be looking for a tool to open it, and he disappeared in the process.The team managed to open the bonnet and the baffling discovery was made: "Bhembe.

Bhembe said they were still looking for the suspect who is still on the run. He said that once they find him, he must be accused of drug possession. He also said that they usually encounter such cases.
