There is a manhunt going on for a group of men who have raped a pregnant 19-year-old woman in Limpopo, the police said Friday.
The seven-month pregnant teenager was targeted during the walk in a village in the Senwabarwana area in the early hours of Sunday, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.
He said that a man called her and asked to accompany her, but she refused. At that moment a group of men approached her, said Ngoepe.
"They attacked her and then all eight men raped her."
One of the men was supposed to live in the village of Windhoek.
Ngoepe said they were all on the run.
The teenager received counseling.
Asked about her health and that of her unborn baby, Ngoepe said that the information would be part of a medical report.
Anyone with information about the men can contact Detective Rashalaha on 072 26 929 71, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS the crime line on 32211.
