Soweto & # 39; s Dobsonville Stadium will host the national finals of the Danone Nations Cup on September 15, which all nine provincial school finalists will meet for this spectacular U12 football tournament.
Eight of the nine provincial winners' schools have been identified with Gauteng as the last province to organize their finals on 25 August.
Chantel Ehlers, Danone's internal communications manager, said the national finals had been moved from Reiger Park after several years.
"We felt it was time to make a change," she said.
"Reiger Park has been the national final table for the past four years and we felt we needed a new location to revive the competition, and Soweto, the largest township in South Africa, was a natural choice. "
The winning school of the national finals will represent South Africa at the world final of the tournament in Spain next year.
The schools that have qualified so far are:
Lutzburg Secondary School
Free State
Tshediso Xolani Primary School
Limpopo
Benny's sports academy and development
Shapeve Primary School
Laerskool Rustenburg North
