Three of Mzansi's top male soulful singers have worked together to use the musical platform to combat the social ills the country is facing.
Musa Sukwene, Karabo Mogane and Donald Moatshe will launch the Gentleman & # 39; s Tour this afternoon at the Platinum Lounge in Cosmo City, Randburg.
Other male artists such as Lesego LSG will join them in scene in solidarity with women and children.
"We only want to make this a focus of us (men) who stand together as one person and are able to resist some things that happen in the country in terms of abuse against children and women. just want to stand together and say that this must stop by using the musical platform. "
Although their characteristic sound is love songs, Karabo said that the show is not limited to that.
"Even music that speaks of hardship and that speaks of abuse of children and women is very welcome, because it is also an initiative for us to have a voice as men to speak against such issues."
For Karabo the favorite part of the project works together with a fellow Idols winner (Musa) and a music mentor (Donald). The icing on the cake is to explore the music while you get to know each other, appreciate each other's talents and bring those different elements together for impact.
"Sharing a stage with another Idols winner is incredible, and it is amazing that we can work together.
"We have become really good friends and I see Musa (winner of 2013 Idols) now as my older brother, and it's just great," he said.
Karabo came top in 2015 as overall winner of season 11. He admitted that after his victory he had experienced many ups and downs. But even with that he thinks they have led him all to this moment.
"I am very grateful for the process and just able to work and push through." The journey has been wonderful, I have made many friends and met great people who have inspired me to do even more than I do. I would not really want to trade it for anything else. & # 39;
