Limpopo police say they are on the trail of two armed suspects who attacked two women on a farm in Roossenekal on Friday afternoon.
Police spokesman Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said that the armed suspects have entered the house on the farm, held them hostage and then attacked them.
"The suspects managed to drive the farm owner's vehicle and took the two women with them," Ngoepe said in a statement.
"The police were informed and reacted quickly: one of the women was later dumped on the Lydenburg road about 20 km outside the city of Lydenburg in the province of Mpumalanga and the other was found in the same city."
Both women are currently recovering in the hospital, the police said.
The stolen vehicle was also found in Lydenburg, with the suspects still at large.
The police appeals to anyone with information that could lead these suspects to be contacted to contact Captain Richard Boshomane on 079 894 5501 or the crime number 0860010111.
