Doris Day & # 39; s grandson spoke out after the death of the Hollywood icon, claiming that her old manager forbade her to see him.
In a long, heartbreaking Facebook post, Ryan Melcher – Day & # 39; s grandson of her only son, Terry Melcher – announced that he had not been in contact with Day for years due to the alleged interference of her manager Bob Bashara.
"I received the news about the death of my grandmother like many of you – I woke up and read the news in a social media feed on Monday morning," Ryan wrote.

Ryan says that Bashara asked him why he wanted to see Day, to which he said he simply replied that she was his grandmother – and said the manager said to him, "I'm afraid you won't see your grandmother." Ryan claimed that Bashara cited Terry's divorce from Ryan's mother, Jacqueline Carlin, because he couldn't see the day.
