A tour operator whose producer Alison Wonderland (real name Alexandra Sholler) is a major stakeholder is currently being wound up, after having paid more than $ 776,000 to vendors after Wonderland's Scarehouse Project & # 39; tour 2017.
Wonderland Touring Pty Ltd – of which Wonderland is a 50 percent stakeholder, in addition to co-directors and 25 percent stakeholders Christopher Murray and Garth Crane (who is also the Wonderland manager) – went into liquidation on June 20, 2018, after being released in July 2017 have been established.
According to documents from the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC), Wonderland Touring Pty Ltd had $ 75 in its liquidation account and owed $ 776,056 to creditors who provided good services and services for the Scarehouse Project & # 39; tour.
According to the documents, Wonderland Touring Pty Ltd owed money to more than 80 creditors – from security companies to plumbers and equipment suppliers – with a total amount due between $ 37 and $ 70,000 each.
Wonderland Touring had also received $ 95,000 from an insurance claim that it made after the Melbourne leg of the Scarehouse Project tour was moved to a covered location a day before the event due to severe weather warnings throughout Victoria .
In a statement to Music feeds, the co-directors of Wonderland Touring Pty Ltd said that they "have worked tirelessly over the last few months to handle excellent supplier balances for this tour".
"The tour as a whole suffered significant losses, largely due to extreme weather during the Victorian event weekend, resulting in a very short-term move," they said.
"We now have to reluctantly refer to a curator to continue this process.Alison Wonderland, although an investor, was not a promoter of this tour and they, like us, have invested heavily in the tour, both before and after, and have suffered significant losses while they have waived the fees.
"We are very committed to continue working on helping the affected suppliers and the receiver in reclaiming all outstanding amounts to distribute accordingly."
Music feeds contacted the Wonderland Touring liquidators for comment.
The Scarehouse Project tour included shows at secret locations in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney between November and December, with Alison Wonderland, alongside A $ AP Ferg, Lido, DJ Taco and Lunice.
Alison Wonderland is scheduled to visit Australia between November and December.
