Passengers have been paused for hours on the train with a "technical problem" that caused huge failures on the Sydney network.
Commuters were told: "Postpone non-essential trips or use local buses whenever possible" while social media flooded with complaints

Passengers at Parramatta posted images of the indicator boards that did not work while others wrote that they were in the train for three hours.
To add to the technical woes, commuters in Lidcombe reported that the trains were stranded because the driver "has not arrived".
Delay non-essential trips, use local buses or make alternative travel arrangements if possible.

Shadow Transport Minister Jodi McKay said Transport Minister Andrew Constance must "ensure that commuters ensure that trains run at normal times this afternoon with major sporting events taking place".
"Rail passengers have reported today that not only do trains not run on time, but there is a serious lack of information about the cause of delays," McKay said in a statement.
"Thousands of spectators are expected to use public transportation this afternoon and evening to take part in the Bledisloe Cup and AFL and NRL competitions in the city."
