CAIRNS The symphony orchestra of the Staatshogeschool was one of 10 finalists at the grand closing concert 2018 in Fanfare. the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Center this week.
Minister Grace Grace of education said that 10 ensembles from public primary and secondary schools in Queensland participated in the concerts.
"Fanfare demonstrates the incredible talent and exceptionally high standard of instrumental music programs in our state schools," Grace said.
"All ensembles must be extremely proud of their achievements in reaching the big finals in Brisbane, with more than 1100 ensembles taking part in regional festivals," she said. 19659005] The orchestra of Cairns was led by Jon Christodoulides.
