KATE Ritchie opened on the radio at her most uncomfortable moment and said she still keeps me awake at night. & # 39;
Ritchie has been working with Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold together with Nova's national drive show since 2014.
The trio is currently the most listened-to FM station show in the country and has picked up a series of nominations when the finalists for the Australian Commercial Radio Awards were announced at the weekend.
Kate, Tim and Marty hope to win the Best On-Air Team Prize for the third year in a row at the prizes awarded in Melbourne on 20 September.
The Best On-Air team prize is comparable to the Gold Logie and the Nova-drive team faces KIIS FM & # 39; s Kyle and Jackie O show, the Hit Network & # 39; s Hughesy and Kate, WSFM & # 39; s Jonesy and Amanda, Fox FM & # 39; s Fifi, Fev and Byron and Triple M & # 39; s Kennedy and Molloy.
Proving Ritchie is now a bona fide radio star, she is also individually nominated in the Best Entertainment Presenter category.
Even the biggest radio stars have bad on-air moments, and in a news.com.au, Q + A Ritchie revealed her biggest faux pas of her time on Nova.
Kate, Tim and Marty is again nominated for the Best On-Air Team award and if you win, it will be three in a row. How much would it mean for the team to win?
I do not think anyone on the team does what we do to win prizes (I'm not sure why we do it sometimes), but of course it is a nice nod to all the hard work that is being done to let us each broadcast day. Another victory could prove that the other two were not just tail fins but above all gave Blackers the chance to talk about Hawthorn during his interviews with red carpet.

What is your favorite thing about the Kate, Tim and Marty show?
That it is a Kardashian free zone and the relief it gives people on their way home.
You are also nominated for the Best Entertainment Presenter award on the ACRA & # 39; s and you are against your Nova friends, Ryan & # 39; Fitzy & # 39; Fitzgerald and Tim & # 39; Blackers & # 39; Blackwell. How good would it be to beat them both?
I think Blackers and I are both very happy to see that the beautiful Fitzy takes the prize home. It can be safer in this way. I'm not sure if you've ever participated in our music challenge game "Spin it DJ & # 39;" But God forbid that I beat Blackers in something that really matters. I could not handle the mugs!
Every radio presenter has a horror moment, whether it is a bad interview or a slip of the tongue in the air. What is your most uncomfortable radio moment?
I remember that I once had Keith Urban in the studio and before I could stop myself, I told him that he was shorter than I expected. Now Keith is a nice guy and I probably did not care what I thought of his height, but I'm still shoving myself to such a stupid remark to this day. Letting people think about your appearance, straight to you, without thinking about it, is something I live with and dislike, so I promise you that that moment will still keep me awake at night.
What do you think about the fact that you have become such a long-time, respected radio presenter that focuses on acting?
I am not sure if respected is true, but I am proud of what I have achieved during this radio adventure of mine. I certainly did not get the hang of it, but I learned a lot, both in the air and from the air and Nova keeps asking me, so I have to do something.
Does your daughter Mae, 4, ever hear you on the radio and if so, how does she react?
She does it in dribs and boring and has only just grown to ask if I want to be turned off. I am not sure that her little mind would be able to calculate the thought that I am on the radio and that she did not like to share. To be honest, she sees me a lot more often on the bus side than she ever hears me.
Kate, Tim and Marty did shows from a plane, in Las Vegas and even from the royal wedding earlier this year. Is something big to come soon?
We continue to threaten a show from a boat, but getting the team inspired to leave the comfort of the studio is a nasty performance and sounds a bit limited for my taste, so I can not imagine that this happens quickly.
The ACRAs are coming on September 20th and they may have a tendency to get a little loose. Who is more fun to drink with, Tim or Marty?
I'm not sure who told you about that (about the fact that the ACRAs are loosening) but if what you say is true, maybe they should start to broadcast live to get rid of things a little bit?
Kate, Tim and Marty is also nominated for Best Radio Show Podcast, Best Syndicated Australian Program, Best Networked Program and Best Show Producer (Nic McClure) at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards. You can see a complete list of finalists here.
