A BACKPACK with more than $ 1 million in ice was reportedly thrown away by a motorcyclist who fled the police in the east of Melbourne.
The police did routine patrols in Ashwood when they approached a 26-year-old man on a BMW engine at 3 a.m. this morning.

When officers approached, he left the engine and fled on foot before throwing the backpack into the front yard of a nearby house.
When the police retrieved the backpack, they found more than 5 kg of the medicine ice, with a street value of more than $ 1 million and $ 3000 in cash.
The Noble Park man is in custody and is being interviewed by the police.
The police said the BMW engine had been stolen.
