Mercedes-Benz has extended the line-up of the all-new AMG GT 4-door Coupe with the addition of entry-level 43 AMG trim. The new sport sedan is now available in three variants, the other two are the 53 AMG and the fully extended 63 AMG.

The drive of the AMG 43 GT 4-door is the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that also works in the S450 and the CLS450. It produces 362 hp and 500 Nm, which gets an extra boost of 250 Nm of the new 48 V EQ mild hybrid system. All power is sent to the 4Matic system with four-wheel drive from Mercedes, allowing the sedan to be shut down from a standstill to 100 km / h in just 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km / h. Shipping is the same SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G unit as can be seen with other variants.

Mercedes-AMG presented the AMG GT 4-door Coupe at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018 as the first 4-door to be built by the AMG. Based on the AMG GT sport coupe, the 4-door gets the iconic vertical slats Panamericana grille, muscular hoods, a large air dam, flared wheel arches and a sloping roofline that gives it the finesse of a coupé. Inside everything is sporty and luxurious, as expected from an AMG. The whole cabin is packed in exotic materials such as carbon fiber, brushed aluminum and Alcantara. It also gets the latest MBUX infotainment system.

The top-quality GT 63 AMG 4-door Coupe is powered by the 4.0-liter V8 with dual turbocharger, which produces 630 hp in the 63S and 577bhp in the standard 63 color shades. Apart from that, a new generation 3.0-liter six cylinder drives the GT53 trim with 429 hp.

The entry-level models AMG 43 GT 4-door sells at 95,259 euros (about Rs 80.54 lakhs) and is almost 14,000 euros cheaper than the 53-badged GT. The AMG GT 4-door Coupe wants to be a comfortable family Grand Touring car. Shortly after entering the street on the European market, the Three-Pointed Star will bring the new 4-door Coupe to the Indian coast. It will compete against people like Porsche Panamera, Bentley Continental and Maserati Quattroporte.
