Nokia reloads the matrix of its 8110 phone with 4G for A $ 129

It is not a case of déja-vu, but a new product where you can go bananas in a retrospective way, but with modern 4G speeds that Keanu could only dream of.

Wake up, Neo. The Matrix has been reloaded and your beloved banana phone finally comes in 4G. Ring Ring!

Nokia has reintroduced its 8110 "banana phone model" with "elegant curved slider design" and now with 4G connectivity. The company announced this phone in February, but it finally comes to Australia from September 20 in Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Big W and Officeworks "from $ 129".

Obviously this is a special phone, but it still gives access to certain smarts, such as Twitter, Outlook, Gmail, Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search and other apps and games.

Nokia says: "It also gives you the chance to switch off, have fun and relax with the knowledge that all your essential smartphones are there when you need them".

With a familiar and easy-to-use interface, we are told that the Nokia 8110 "features intuitive tactile mechanics, with slide-to-answer and end calls, as well as an addictive helicopter-like twist on its axis".

"It comes with the craftsmanship you expect from a Nokia phone and extended battery life with up to 25 days of stand-by time, providing durability and reliability as standard."

It has a Wi-Fi hotspot capability, so "you can turn your Nokia 8110 into a portable internet connection to share with other devices, friends and family.

"It comes with preloaded favorites such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search and an app store for downloads that include Twitter and games.

"Users can also send and receive e-mails, import contacts, and synchronize their calendars with Outlook and Gmail. To keep it running smoothly, the handset features the Qualcomm 205 Mobile Platform and provides crystal-clear calling."

Naturally, Nokia speaks to this by "making the Nokia 8110 perfect for anyone who needs an iconic 4G function phone or a corresponding phone".

James Robinson, acting country manager for Australia, said: "We are very excited to bring another member of the Nokia Originals family to Australia.

"We want fans to enjoy the iconic, sliding function to answer while still having all the essential functions of their smartphone at hand."

As you can see, there are "two vibrant colors to choose from, Traditional Black and Banana Yellow", and even has the reloaded Snake Game.
