Summary and current state of Fortnite & # 39; Summer Skirmish & # 39; $ 500K Week 6 tournament (day one) – NA and EU

Day One of the Fortnite & # 39; Summer Skirmish & # 39; $ 500K Week 6 Duos Tournament is fully packed for both the European and North American regions & # 39; s.

After a day of play, where both regions have played five games, the NA is the leader board of Nate Hill & # 39; and & # 39; FunkBomb & # 39 ;, with & # 39; Solary Kinstaar & # 39; and lunary jbzzed & # 39; top of the EU ranking.

Before reading the rest of the summary, you must first upgrade the score format for this week's match, which was the same as Week 5:

The team with the most points at the end of eight matches wins. Eliminations earn player points from placement at the end of the event. By earning a Victory Royale, a team gets a 3x Elimination bonus in the next game.

Elimination: +1 point
Victory Royale: 3x Elimination Bonus Next match
7+ Eliminations: 2x Elimination Bonus Next match

The only major difference between the format this week and last week is the breakdown of prices. In week 5 the prizes were awarded to players after the completion of the tournament, while the prizes of week 6 were awarded after each of the five matches.

Thanks to winning Victory Royales in the first two games of the NA-tournament, competitive Fortnite-players Nate Hill and FunkBomb could collect 34 points, eight more than the second-site team.

The 3x elimination bonus really came into play in Match 2, where they got no less than 21 points.

The masters of consistency & # 39; Not_The_Fox & # 39; and FaZe pro player & # 39; Tennp0 & # 39; got 26 points to claim second place, despite not receiving Victory Royales or 2x elimination bonuses.

In third place came 100 Thieves & # 39; NICKMERCS and SypherPK from Luminosity Gaming, who also got 26 points. Although they did not win match wins, they were able to take advantage of some bonus points thanks to some games.

During the fifth and final match there were serious delays and server problems, which led to Epic ending the game prematurely and awarding victories to the teams that were still alive at that time.

The Fortnite Summer Skirmish is an 8 week long series of contests in which Epic Games will award a total of $ 8 million in prize money. The competition features a variety of content creators, popular pro players and top performers from previous in-game events.

Because Epic Games worked together with Twitch Esports to organize Weeks 6 of the Skirmish, there has been a slight change in planning, with the EU and NA regions both competing on 17 and 18 August.

Although most of the players who played on the 17th also play on the 18th, it is not yet clear whether the state of day one will change to day two.
