Retired US Navy admiral William McRaven praises John Brennan, says he will not be frightened by Donald Trump

A retired US Navy admiral who led the robbery over Osama bin Laden told Donald Trump that he would be honored if the 45th president were to secure his security power, as did former CIA director John Brennan.

letter to Mr. Trump published in the Washington Post, retired Admiral William McRaven, named Mr. Brennan, “one of the best officials I’ve ever known,” he said, “would be honored if you had my security clearance. also, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken to your presidency. ”

Mr McRaven’s name was not on Mr Trump’s list.

“By your deeds, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humbled us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation,” wrote Mr. McRaven, who shared the common American command of the operation led from 2011 to 2014.

Mr. McRaven said that few Americans had done more than Mr. Brennan to protect the nation.

“He is a man of unrivaled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been questioned … except by those who do not know him,” he wrote.

Mr. McRaven said that Mr. Trump could not suppress the voices of his critics, would continue until he became “the leader we prayed that you would be”.
