Numerous accidents took place at the weekend on the roads of Upper Austria. A collision with five wounded took place on Saturday afternoon in Leonding. An 18-year-old from the Ried district overlooked the fact that the motorcade had stopped in front of him, and his car crashed into the car in front of him. The force of the collision pushed different vehicles into each other. Two car drivers and three passengers, including a pregnant woman, were injured in the crash. The latter was flown with the rescue helicopter Christophorus 10 to the hospital Linz.
Also in Leonding on Saturday was a 54-year-old Linzer with his 50-year-old passenger on the B139. The driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a concrete mast. The collision brought the car back on the road. The engine has been torn out. Both passengers were injured but could leave the car alone. They were admitted to Med Campus III.
Accident controller had 2.04 per thousand
A 22-year-old Pöndorfer (Vöcklabruck district) drove on the Pöndorfer Landesstraße on Sunday at night. In a strong turn to the right, the man bumped into a retaining wall. An alcohol test performed gave the man a value of 2.04 parts per thousand.
