Nintendo Switch: Firmware Update 6.0 reveals new classic (S) NES controllers!

It looks like the Nintendo Switch will soon get a new firmware update. Hackers have already investigated the firmware after Nintendo has uploaded it on one of its servers.

Currently, firmware update 6.0 is not yet publicly available for download, but smart hackers do not bother. They were able to date it. An overview of what we expected in the future was published via Reddit.

As expected, the update provides support for the Nintendo Switch online service, including back-up functionality (which should have been available much earlier).

New player profile icons from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is added: two for Toad and Toadette and one for Wingo and Draggadon.

Classic Nintendo controller for the switch?

Perhaps the most interesting part of the update that Dataminers found official icons for the NES, SNES, Famicom and Super Famicom controllers, This seems to indicate that Nintendo will release a kind of classic controller line that is compatible with the switch. This is probably related to the Nintendo Switch online service. As you know, this brings some classics from the history of the company.
