No less than 700 hp and a completely new development based on the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Porsche shows a new club athlete, which is only produced in small series.

He does not need it, says Porsche. There are good reasons for this: first, the club athlete is only meant for private races and club sporting events; secondly, the designers and engineers were able to really live out the design without the usual regulations. The end result was recently presented at a historic motor sport event in California.

With its streamlined rear, the 935 extends to a length of 4.87 meters. In the width, the exclusive racer measures 2.03 meters. Inside a water-cooled 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with twin turbocharging locks, which is largely identical to the powerful standard power unit of the street-level 911 GT2 RS. Like the road-legal 911 GT2 RS, the 1,335-kilogram 935 has the PSM (stability stability management system) including traction control and an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

Aerodynamics is a completely new development and a tribute to the former Le Mans racing car Porsche 935/78, which was named by the fans because of its elongated shape, the enormous widening and the basic color white "Moby Dick".

The striking wheel arch ventilation on the front mudguards, which can also be found on the GT3 sports car 911 GT3 R, increases the downward pressure on the front axle. The 1,909 mm wide and 400 mm deep rear spoiler provides the aerodynamic balance of the race car.

Many details of the exterior are reminiscent of successful vehicles from the history of motorsport: while the aerodynamically rounded edges of those of the 935/78 recall, the LED tail lights in the end plates of the rear wing to the LMP1-Rider 919 Hybrid on a crack.

The door mirrors come from the current Le Mans winner 911 RSR, the exposed titanium end pieces are modeled on the Porsche 908 from 1968. Actually, the Porsche 935 racing car is based on the 911 GT2 RS. But with some modifications: for example, parts of the body were replaced with add-on parts made of carbon fiber composite material (CFRP) or supplemented.

The gear lever is designed in multiplex optics and is reminiscent of racing models such as the 917, the 9098 Bergspyder or the super sports car Carrera GT. The carbon steering wheel and the color screen behind take the 935 of the 911 GT3 R of the model year 2019. A huge safety cage ensures maximum safety in combination with a racing bucket seat and six-point seat belts. The power of the rear engine is transferred via a seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebes (PDK) with a stiff wheel suspension on the 310-millimeter wide rear wheels.

The Porsche 935 is sold for a price of 701,948 euros plus country-specific VAT to well-off customers and is delivered in a small series of only 77 vehicles on the market.
