‘Iti Tomarai Dhaka’ goes to Oscars from Bangladesh

The film ‘Iti Tomarai Dhaka’ will compete from Bangladesh in the ‘Best International Full-length Film’ (Foreign Language Competition) category of the 93rd Academy Awards Oscars. The Oscar Bangladesh Committee has briefed the news in a press release.

Impress Telefilm’s omnibus film ‘Eti Tomarai Dhaka’ and Khana Talkies ‘Made in Bangladesh’ were nominated for two foreign-language films at the Oscars.

The 93rd Oscar Bangladesh Commission completed the film Eti Tomarai Dhaka on Thursday (Nov. 27) after seeing two films at the Ashirbad Film Office in the capital Kakrail.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Bangladesh Federation of Film Society and the Oscar Committee Habibur Rahman Khan, film researcher Professor Abdur Selim, chairman of the Film Directors Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, filmmaker Pankaj Palit and filmmaker Shamim Akhtar.

The 11 stories in ‘Eti Tomarai Dhaka’ actually represent eleven types of people living in the city of Dhaka. The pain of surviving each of their lives in the heart of the city has been demonstrated.

The movie is directed by Golam Kibria Farooqui, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Nuhash Humayun, Mahmudul Islam, Mir Mokarram Hossain, Rahat Rahman, Rabiul Alam, Saleh Sobhan, Syed Ahmed, Tamin Noor and Tanvir Ahsan.

More than 50 actors have performed in the film. Among them are Fazlur Rahman Babu, Iresh Jaker, Intekhab Dinar, Shatabdi Wadud, Intekhab Dinar, Shatabdi Wadud, Nusrat Imroz Tisha, Shyamal Mawla, Archita Sperchia, Allen Shuvro, Mostafa Monwar, Manoj Pramanik, Shewan and many more. .

Commission chairman Habibur Rahman Khan regretted that because of Corona, it was not possible to reveal the name of the film at a press conference.
