Rangpur: Five people, including children and women, were killed during a collision between two buses in the city of Rangpur. At least 24 others were injured in the accident.
The accident happened on Sunday (September 2) on the regional highway in the market area of Seoul in Seoul.
Three of the victims were identified. They are – Roksana (18), Azamun (45) and Child Shaheen (8) from the Panchagarh district in Sundarganj in the Gaibandha district.
An additional Chief Inspector of Rangpur Saifur Rahman Saif's police confirmed the issue to Banglanews.
Witnesses said that a local bus departed from the opposite direction with the BRTC bus from Rangpur to Rangpur at 12 hours before the bus crashed. Four people were killed during the incident. When another person was taken to the hospital, doctors declared him dead. In addition, more than 25 people were injured. The number of deaths is expected to increase further.
Additional Chief Inspector of Rangpur Saifur Rahman Saif Police said: "We are continuing the rescue operation.
