In Sherpur, during the celebration of Eid, two schools of six class students were killed in the water of the river.
This incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the village of Dabwala under Tarakanda of the Urafa Union, in the area of the slum of rubber dham. The deceased were identified as Umar Farooq, 12, son of Genda Mia of Gargaon Mollah of the municipality of Nokla and Shant Mia, son of Akter Mia. Farooq was a student of the sixth class of Nokla Pilot High School and Santosh Freedom Fighter, student of the sixth class of Smriti Vidyaniketan.
Nokla police station OC Khan Abdul Halim confirmed the death of two school children. He said that after almost two and a half hours of trying to miss the water of the river, the bodies of those two students had been restored.
The locals said that the deceased students visited Tarakanda Rabaradam on the Bhogi River in Nokla Pichalakuri on Thursday to enjoy Eid joy. On the east side of the bridge they began to enjoy a small, grape-shaped spot that bobbed in the river. Suddenly, when the legs suddenly fell apart, Umar Farooq, Shant Mia and their friend went missing in deep water. Later the locals came and saved the friends of the surviving friends and saved an instant student. After about two hours of searching, Shanti Mia, and about two and a half hours later, the locals rescued Umar Farooq from the dead. During that time, hundreds of people gathered on the banks of the river.
