This Wednesday morning, more than 2,000 children from the schools of the entity of Ath took part in a "joyful event" prepared and orchestrated by the Cultural House.
Primary school students of the entity, all networks together, have made an appointment on the Grote Markt, at 10 a.m., Wednesday morning. Their goal: to set their demands on the future. And they made themselves heard …
With their billboards, their musical instruments and their & # 39; mask book & # 39 ;, the 2000 children accompanied by their teachers and some parents, CEVA took charge, in procession and in music.
On the spot they presented the songs that were realized during workshops that were organized in collaboration with Jeunesses musicales from Tournai. Different themes were discussed; animal welfare, intimidation, pollution or climate.
"It is important to fight for our futuresays Mathéo, a student of the fifth degree. I realize that things have to change for our planet.I'm afraid of what will be left later. The children are apparently well aware of the efforts that must be made. "I am already working on moI, Gaspard continues, also in the 5th year. I use a water bottle for drinking water and bottles of recyclable glasses for milk. I also give advice to my parents, because they have to think about the planet that they will leave me."
The young people then went directly to Mayor Bruno Lefebvre, stating a series of complaints and wishes for the future.
All were delighted that they were heard and listened to by the authorities.
