Colruyt has a 28-seat bus, which the distribution group uses to route its staff to Hal's offices. The vehicle drives at peak times. "But we were also looking for ways to use it during the daySaid a spokeswoman for Colruyt. And that's how the idea came to make customers available.
During this one-month trial period, the bus will pick up customers in the center of Hal every Monday morning. They then go shopping together before being returned to three collection points.
"It is not necessary to emigrate to the OCMW to benefit from the service. Everyone is entitled to it, but interested parties must register in advance via our Apporto platform"Says the spokesperson.
A dozen people have already taken the shuttle last week.
Colruyt will evaluate the project at the end of the month and decide on a possible extension of the service.
