Let's go for the 11th edition of the French-language film festival! Angoulême welcomes a rain of stars until August 26, from Jean Dujardin to Karin Viard through Alexandra Lamy, José Garcia, Alex Lutz, Agnès Jaoui and Carole Bouquet, who honors the event for the first time with his presence.

Before the kick-off, the festival chose a film that seemed destined to make the opening: Lola and his brothers, a new comedy by Jean Paul Rouve, shot mostly in Angoulême. From the shopping streets to the covered market, the city and its region are emphasized in the heart of a film in which we find the themes and motives that are dear to the director: family ties and unspoken on a background of French variety for a cinema that "clings to life", mixed with subdued emotion and humor.

The audience of Angoumoisin has responded in large numbers. For the first time, all rooms in the city center were full, reflecting the growing popularity of the French and French cinema event. Jean-Paul Rouve, Jose Garcia and their producer Maxime Delauney wanted to greet their audience in the presence of Patrice Beligot, a local figure from the famous "Café Chaud" of the city.

Meanwhile Ludivine Sagnier, also in the casting, attended the opening ceremony, surrounded by other jurors, including Raphael Personnaz, Camélia Jordana and his president Karin Viard.

"Angoulême is a very familiar festival for me, especially since I made Jean-Paul Rouve's film this winter, and I am delighted to see it under the sun and the blue sky, a real pleasure to come back to the same place … as a feeling of completion ", the actress entrusted us a few hours before the opening.

Also known with the festival, Raphaël Personnaz has already presented three films: "What I really like is that there is a mix of professionals in the autumn, it's the opportunity to take stock, and above all there's an audience that's ubiquitous, whoever shows the movies , they are always very good memories every time. "

Radiant after returning from her vacation, Camélia Jordana hid her enthusiasm for the festival and the "beautiful jury" she is proud to be part of: "This is a great way to get back to school at the end of the summer and see lots of films for a whole week, a human, caring, quiet, family-oriented event without pressure."

Eye Haidara, also known in The Sense of Celebration, one of the great successes of the festival last year, also sees it as a rendezvous with a selection "Bold" of films simultaneously "popular and elegant" and "Quality".
