The stock market closed Friday with a slight increase of the Ibovespa, with banks and Petrobras as one of the biggest positive contributions, in a volatile session and in line with what happened in August. The movement was motivated by speculations linked to the presidential race, which divided the focus with international events.
The main equity index of B3 rose by 0.36 percent to 76,677.53 points after an increase of 76,025.96 points to a highest point of 77,202.24 points. The financial volume reached 11.2 billion reais.
In the week, the Ibovespa registered a slight increase of 0.46 percent, but in August the accumulated fall of 3.21 percent increased. In 2018 there is a positive variation of 0.36 percent. In US dollars, however, it drops by 18.25 percent.
Manager Marcello Paixão, partner in asset manager Constância, considered the profit in the session as a recovery after 2.5 percent fell the day before, because there were no major changes in the general scenario.
In the electoral framework, polls based on voter preference did not show any major changes in voting intentions, leaving the image previously undetermined.

– PETROBRAS PN increased by 2.45 percent, despite the drop in oil, with the radar being announced by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) for the new reference prices for the commercialization of diesel in Brazil, in addition to sensitive to stay with the election scenario in the country.
