Order of the Ministry of Health, published today (24) in the Official Journal of the European Union, authorizes the transfer of R $ 102,834 from the National Health Fund to the Pacaraima Municipal Health Fund (RR), to help fight the outbreak of measles in the region.
The funds will be used to carry out actions of epidemiological surveillance, laboratories, vaccinations and health education.
Concerns about the outbreak of measles in the city, amid the thousands of Venezuelans in Brazil, was one of the arguments put forward by the Roraima government in the new request to close the border to the federal Supreme Court. (STF). The request has already been challenged by the Attorney General's Office and is now awaiting a court decision.
In a request for a court order, the Supreme Court was asked to order the federal government to introduce sanitary barriers to prevent measles, malaria and other diseases. We also requested the maintenance of field hospices in the army and sending Venezuelans to other states.
