Nokia will invest € 500 million to accelerate the penetration of the first 5G networks

The Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer is one of the most active brands in the development of 5G technology. The company has already entered into a partnership with some of the biggest names in the industry to accelerate the construction of the required infrastructure to realize this idea. Nokia has taken another important step towards achieving this goal by agreeing to a EUR 500 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB)

The company wants to use this financial capital to build the first 5G networks that offer higher speeds, a more robust connection and a wider range of network coverage. Technology is still at an early stage of development, but in its final form it offers speeds of 50 to 100 times higher than 4G networks. In fact, this is not the first investment by the EIB because it finances many technological projects.

At the beginning of the year, a loan of € 250 million was provided to the Swedish giant Ericsson for the construction of a new generation telecommunication network. We remind you that a few weeks ago, Nokia signed a partnership with a T $ Mobile mobile phone worth $ 3.5 billion, the biggest deal to build 5G infrastructure so far. The company expects to have more than 1.2 billion people to 5G by the end of 2025. and are planning to play a key role in this process.
