Novak Djokovic became the first tennis player to win the title of all nine Masters series tournaments. The Serbian triumphed in the race in Cincinnati after winning only two sets on Roger Federer with 6: 4, 6: 4 for just 1.25 hours.

So Djokovic becomes the first to reach the so-called. "Golden masters".

He wins the 31st title of the highest category of herentennis, because he only runs behind Rafael Nadal. Djokovic adds a new prize to the Wimbledon trophy he recently won.

The Serbian won Federer for the 24th time in 46th place. The two met for the first time since 2016 and Djokovic confirmed his return to the greats after a very difficult 12 months.

The seven-time champion of Cincinnati Federer lost for the first time in a final game in the American Race. Djokovic interrupted his five-fold setback in the final of Cincinnati after he did not even win a set.

In the game, the Serbian realized only 12 winners, but the key was the fact that he had only 16 unforced errors. With Federer, the statistics were 22 winners and 39 unforced errors.

"I have not had a title so far, and this is one of my favorite tournaments." Roger, thank you for finally letting me win, you are the biggest ever to have played our sport, "Djokovic told his second.

On his way to the title, he also arranged Grigor Dimitrov's champion last year. The pair played within two days after their third round crash had stopped because of the rain.

"The week was very difficult because I had a lot of tough matches against good rivals, but I thank my team, which prepared me the best," added the Serbian tennis player.

The meeting began with a difficult service game for Federer, who offered two chances for a breakthrough to his rival, but was still able to get out of the difficult situation thanks to his varied service.

Then they both started to win a bit easier and it went on until the sixth game. With a 3: 3 score, Djokovic scored, which proved decisive towards the end of the first part. He closed the set after only 38 minutes with 6: 4 and interrupted his set of lost sets in the final of Cincinnati.

The second set was very different after Maeserto answered and took the first two games, breaking Djokovic and leading 2-0. The Serbian, however, recovered quickly and brought back the breakthrough and again won the 37-year-old Swiss in the seventh game.

Djokovic was also not surprised, and in the last game Federer showed a loss of concentration, assuming erroneous mistakes.

In addition to the title, Djokovic continues his ascent on the world ranking. From Monday he is number 7 in the world after making a jump of three points. He stands for Grigor Dimitrov, who is eighth in the world because he has not protected his 1000 points last year.

Federer remains number 2 in the ranking, while a leader with 10040 points is Rafael Nadal, who did not participate in Cincinnati.
