V.Chr. government to match all Red Cross donations for natural fire combustion – BC



The provincial government will coordinate all donations from the Red Cross to help people affected by B.C. forest fires.

Chief of Parliament for emergency preparedness Jennifer Rice says they will have a $ 20 million match up to October 12.

"There are still weeks left in this wildfire season and the crew work tirelessly and they have our help."

They say they have chosen the Red Cross because they have their hands on.

"The Red Cross helps people and affected communities."

Canadians who want to make a donation can go to redcross.ca or call 1-800-418-1111.
