DeMar DeRozan says ‘everything is fine’ after confronting intruders at home

San Antonio Spurs star and former Toronto Raptor, DeMar DeRozan, confirmed a recent report of a confrontation with an intruder at his Los Angeles home.

The incident, first reported by TMZ Sports, is said to involve a man who broke into DeRozan’s home on Nov. 19 and made his way into an area where at the time was at least one of DeRozan’s children.

Hearing a commotion, DeRozan ran into the room and found himself “ face to face ” with the intruder before chasing the man out of his house, TMZ said.

“Everything is good,” DeRozan told Tom Orsborn from the San Antonio Express News. ‘I grew up in Compton, California. I’ve been through worse. ‘

DeRozan was not the intruder’s intended target, TMZ’s reporting found, as the man allegedly tried to find the home of American media personality and celebrity Kylie Jenner. The intruder was arrested and has since been charged with a felony burglary.

A restraining order preventing him from getting near DeRozan or Jenner’s homes has also been reportedly issued.

31-year-old DeRozan was born in Compton, California, where he attended Compton High School and in 2008 was ranked as one of the top college recruits in America. Los Angeles. As an 11-year NBA veteran, DeRozan now often spends the off-season at his Los Angeles home.
