Bethenny Frankel finds it "hard to breathe" after she has lost her former on-off friend Dennis Shields.
The 51-year-old banker – who started seeing Bethenny in 2016 – was found dead in his apartment in the Trump Tower earlier this month after he reportedly suffered an overdose, and the 47-year-old star admits it was "unbearable" , not being able to have closure after his "sudden" transition.
Thanks to her fans for their continued "support", bethenny tweeted on Sunday (26.08.18): "It's hard to breathe and I appreciate that you give me the space and support to try it." It's terrible-Sudden death is not a conclusion & constant? s & memories Our relationship is current, so it is painfully raw Try to stay healthy and go through with tears and good friends Xo (sic)
The star & # 39; Real Housewives of New York & # 39; went to Instagram earlier to pay tribute to her deceased ex-lover.
Taking a picture of Dennis on a bed with her beloved dog Cookie – who died in October last year at the age of 17 – wrote: "Rest in peace, my dear babies who have given me endless, unconditional love. Nowandforever (sic) "
And a source later claimed that Bethenny – who had no relationship with Dennis at the time of his death – was "devastated" by the news.
They said, "She was destroyed, she loved him, he was her family and [her eight-year-old daughter] Bryn's family. Bryn loved him. Dennis was the partner of Bethenny, her family, her business partner and her best friend.
"He helped her with things – emotionally and professionally, and he was her confidant, no doubt she liked this guy."
Bethenny started dating Dennis three years after filing a divorce for ex-husband Jason Hoppy, with whom she has the eight-year-old daughter Bryn.
The pair endured many break-ups and make-ups – most of which were documented at the Real Housewives of New York & # 39; – but remained closed, even if they were not together.
Previously, a source said: "Bethenny and her daughter Bryn love Dennis and his family and they have been a supportive system during her negative divorce and positive influence in Bryn's life.
"They had a friendship of 27 years before they left, so they picked up where they left off, as soon as they realized they were not working as a couple, her daughter adored him and his family, and she comes first and foremost."
