Every year around 15,000 volunteers and participants at Kidney Walks meet communities across the country to raise awareness and funds for people with kidney disease. Patients, caregivers, medical professionals, family members and other caring and compassionate individuals take part in the Kidney Foundation of Canada's main fundraising event to support innovative and pioneering research projects and offer crucial programs and services to the thousands people living with kidney disease.
Give the Gift of Life Walk – Sault Ste. Marie will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2018 9:00 – 11:00 in Roberta Bondar Pavilion
Sault Ste. Marie, ON
The walk starts at 10 a.m. in the morning.
Your participation in the Kidney Walks offers hope to those who are living with kidney disease when they need it most. A diagnosis of kidney disease is life-changing and affects the whole family. For some, this means you lose hours of the week on dialysis, which affects the ability to work, travel or spend time together.
The Walks are the largest community charity for the Kidney Foundation.
Although the events only last a few hours, the relationships that have been built up for the attendees have a lasting impact. The Foundation aims to support those affected by kidney disease through education, patient support programs such as Kidney Connect support, advocacy, and by investing in research to improve the future of kidney care in Canada. https://www.kidney.ca/
