Kidnapping investigation started after video broadcast from woman to car towed in Richmond Hill – Toronto

The police say they are looking for a suspect after a surveillance video shows a man carrying a woman to her car and driving off in Richmond Hill.

The York Regional Police said the woman rang the door on Saturday at about 2.50 am at a home in High Tech Road and Silver Linden Drive.

The police said the door was not answered, but video surveillance shows a man who seems to be armed with a gun coming out of a parked vehicle and an argument with the woman on the porch of the house.

The police appeal to everyone who knows that the suspect or the woman immediately contacts the researchers.

Const. Andy Pattenden told Global News on Thursday that there is no known connection between the homeowners, the victim and the suspect. He said it is unclear why the woman went home.
