Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Oppo R17 Pro; Specifications, functions compared

Nokia launched its first smartphone earlier this week with a notch display in India. Nokia 6.1 Plus works on Google's Android One platform. It is the latest smartphone from the middle segment of Nokia. Based on specifications and functions, the Nokia 6.1 Plus competes with HMD Global with the recently launched Oppo R17 Pro, which has the latest fingerprint sensor on the display. The main highlight of the R17 Pro seems to be a threefold arrangement of the reversing camera, similar to that on the Huawei P20 Pro launched earlier this year.

Here is the comparison between the two new smartphones that have been launched in India

Nokia 6.1 Plus:

Nokia 6.1 Plus works on Snapdragon 636 SoC. It is powered by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable to 128 GB. Nokia 6.1 Plus packs a 3.060mAh battery with fast charging support.

As far as the camera is concerned, Nokia 6.1 Plus sees a setup with a dual camera consisting of a 16-megapixel f / 2.0 camera and a 5-megapixel f / 2.0 snapper. For selfies there is a 16-megapixel camera with f / 2.0 aperture. Nokia 6.1 Plus also comes with the trademark feature of the company that enables users to simultaneously shoot from the rear and front camera.

Oppo R17 Pro:

Oppo R17 Pro is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC and runs ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone has 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone is powered by a 3.700mAh battery powered by Oppo's own Super VOOC technology.

On the front of the camera, the Oppo R17 Pro has a triple setup for the reversing camera with a 12 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f / 1.5-2.4, a 20 megapixel sensor with a f / 2.6 aperture and a third sensor actually a TOF 3D stereo camera. From now on there is no clarity about what the third lens is meant for.
