ZeniMax, the parent company of developer of videogames and publisher Bethesda, has filed a trademark application for "Redfall." The trademark application covers a number of things, including PC and console video games.
The trademark application, which was filed in the United States on September 10 and was spotted by Newsweek, contains no further indications as to what Redfall might be.
Bethesda released a game called The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard in 1998, and some people speculate that Redfall could be the name of The Elder Scrolls VI. However, Bethesda did not comment.
Trademark applications do not necessarily become products. Activision was, for example, a trademark of a number of Call of Duty games such as Space Warfare and Future Warfare.
Bethesda does have a history of brand new games, long before they are announced. The company characterized Starfield in 2013, about five years before the game was announced at E3 2018.
