Hotel Grand Hyatt Bogota opens its doors – Travel – Life

The Grand Hyatt Bogota is the city's newest bet on luxury accommodations. The 5-star hotel, located in the Sarmiento Angulo Business City, is proud to offer the largest standard room in the capital (with 41 square meters), the largest spa in Colombia (with 3,000 square meters), a conference center with a large capacity and infrastructure, and if that was not enough, all rooms and atriums receive daylight, which provides warmth to the guests and guests.

"Opening a new Grand Hyatt and launching a project of this size in a city with the relevance that Bogotá has, is a very important step for our growth and positioning as a company in Latin America. We are very pleased to offer the Grand Hyatt Bogotá the ordinary in the extraordinary transforming and iconic experiences in the city. Bogotá will have a first-class accommodation and luxury service that will lead to a great life, "says Philippe Frey, general manager of Grand Hyatt Bogotá.

The rooms

Taking into account the fact that Bogotá is one of the most successful cities when it comes to attracting tourists from events (for the sample: last year it was placed in the top 50 of the cities with the greatest success in attracting this type of tourists), the Grand Hyatt developed an interesting range of rooms to meet the demand of the congress groups. Andrea Gonzalez, marketing and communications manager at the Grand Hyatt, says that "371 rooms and 111 have two beds, which is important for these groups because they are actually 100 doubles."

The hotel offers 50 suites in different categories. The largest is the presidential, which has 200 square meters and is located on the top floor. This room can be connected to the exclusive heliport of the Grand Hyatt. There are also diplomatic, executive and corner suites.

In all rooms there is a Nespresso coffee machine, a kettle for the teas available and a minibar. In the bathrooms there are lotus products from the south and they all have a bath and shower separated from the toilet.

One of the most remarkable elements, besides the obvious comfort of the rooms, are the looms of Hechizoo. This workshop by the Colombian artist Jorge Lizarazo was in charge of weaving the hand with copper wires that decorate rooms and common areas of the hotel. According to the workshop, these pieces collect their warp images that maintain the memory of people or have a refined embroidery of independence. "

The common areas

The hotel is not just designed for visitors. It also offers various services for residents of the city who are looking for a restaurant while eating or having a drink when they end their day. Next to the reception is the bar, where cocktails and dishes are served that you can share. In addition, a television for sporting events.

Aldeana, also located on the first floor, is a restaurant with light meals and to go, such as salads, soups, wrapsrice, sushis and some pastries. You can even order cakes for birthdays. In contrast, it has a terrace to have a coffee and to eat some muffin or ponqué.

The main restaurant is Capitalino, whose menu is in charge of an Argentinian chef and offers breakfast and lunch buffets, as well as à la carte dinners, with the possibility to cook live. It has a terrace with a fireplace, private tables for business meetings and its main feature: a mezzanine on the second floor with a capacity of 60 people, available for groups who want a meal in a semi-private area.

And it distinguishes itself between all Ushin Japanese and Grill, located on the 14th floor of the hotel. This Japanese restaurant offers spectacular views of the city and a menu of oriental dishes and grills, for those who are not fans of the sea.

One of the biggest attractions is located on the third floor and is the Zaitana spa, the largest in Colombia with 3,000 square meters and 11 cabins (two of which offer a shower from Vichy). "Zaitana means going back to the water, which is the most important therapeutic element," Gómez explains. Treatments can vary from massages to exfoliation or wraps. They also offer treatment with water.

"We will have options for more or less 150 memberships, who will be members of the spa at different times: a quarter, a semester or a year", explains Gómez. The memberships have advantages such as the use of the lounge, a relaxation area with snacks, where food or wellness conversations will take place.

On the same floor there is a hairdresser and the fitness room, open 24 hours a day and available to all guests. "As a novelty, we will offer the program Fitness on request. Through an app, guests can plan every class we offer, "explains Gómez. To top it all off, there is a complete water circuit and a heated semi-Olympic swimming pool.

The conference center connects directly to the outside, giving the guests privacy. It has 11 rooms with a capacity of 10 to 40 people. In addition, there are two large rooms, the Grand Ballroom and El Dorado Ballroom, with a capacity of 1,045 and 600 people respectively. There is also the Loft Kitchen for more private events with live cooking. There is also Gallery, a place dedicated to social events such as weddings.

"We are proud of the product we have and the company we work for, and our philosophy is to take care of people so that they are the best version of themselves – this is what the company wants to project for its employees for guests", says Andrea González.
