Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age has been removed from the Steam roster with the release of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definite Edition.
Steam has been removed Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age from the store at the request of the publisher, Square Enix.
As per the notification, this version of the game is no longer available due to the release of Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition.
Those who have already bought the game can still download and play it, but those who do have it are a bit bothered that they have to split the money to buy the final edition to get the bonus content. This is because there is no upgrade option for original title owners.
Steam users have posted reviews expressing their displeasure, and the game that originally received very positive reviews is now a mixed bag thanks to a host of new negative reviews.
Released yesterday, December 4, the game is the first in the series to arrive on Xbox. Originally released on Switch, it is now also available on PS4 and Steam.
