The Mayor of Valparaíso, Jorge Martínez, reported that the episodes of contamination that took place in the municipalities of Puchuncaví and Quintero, hit 301 people, two of whom remain in hospital, although without any vital risk.
After the fourth Special Operations Committee (COE) was held in the morning of this Monday, Martinez also noted that the yellow warning for the two municipalities is maintained and that the classes remain suspended in the municipal and subsidized private schools.
In that sense, Healthcare Networks' secretary, Luis Castillo, said that "we have arranged an advanced medical team at the Hospital de Quintero to see where it should be installed."
Castillo added that this team "will include specialized medical attention, elements and a procedural room for those potential patients who need an additional procedure, such as oxygen therapy, bronchial sprays."
He also assured that he would strengthen his attention with paediatricians and bronchopulmonals "who will come and live weekly".
"The most important thing is that it can help to solve the increase in the number of consultations that have occurred with all these episodes," the undersecretary added, adding that "we will keep it until the situation in the area deserves it." and requires "he added.
