Man falls with $ 1,400 million at Rionegro airport

The police reported that the prisoner would apparently be a Gulf Clan contact person to handle the shipment of drugs and receive their money in Central and North America.

The authorities arrested a man at a time when he tried to board a flight at the José María Córdova airport in Rionegro, which seized $ 1,400 million in cash, money of which he could not explain the origin.

The man, 33 years old, had arrived from Mexico City.

General Carlos Rodríguez, commander of region 6 of the police, reported that the prisoner would apparently be a link from the Gulf Clan to handle the shipment of drugs and receive their money in Central and North America.

"He had attached half a million dollars to his body, stomach and legs and did not justify obtaining them and they were not registered with the DIAN, and they may be talking about drug trafficking," the official explained.
