With the lights of the Christmas lights, Barranquilla welcomed the holidays. During the event, which was held on the Malecón, Mayor Jaime Pumarejo Heins sent a message to the Barranquilla community to increase prevention and self-care measures for Covid-19.
“For several months now, the Barranquilleros we’ve kept this virus that kept us at bay. We have not yet won the battle and in the coming weeks we must be especially careful because we cannot throw away everything we have done, ”said the president, accompanied by the first lady, Silvana Puello.
Pumarejo stressed that the current circumstances are leading to a change in the way the end of the year is celebrated, Therefore, he ordered social gatherings with people outside the family circle to be avoided.
