Suchdol nad Lužnicí – Sweeter and earlier than in the current years is the burčák of this year.
To taste it, not only from the famous Moravian winemakers, participants in the weekend festival of the festival in Suchdol nad Lužnicí. And Sturm, Austria, was cast.
"We came from Třeboň, both are excellent, but the Austrians taste better", agreed František Zimmerhansl and Marie Kartáková. Satisfied guests, but the event of the local wine store U Dušků attracted much more. The organizers even had to add tables.
"Winners grow in Jihočechy," says Lubomír Dušek, co-owner of the wine store. He and his wife Renata have been teaching the inhabitants of the region for many years to understand wines. He also explained with clarity what the Moravian burčák and the Austrian Sturm are different. "The difference is mainly in the variety they are made of, in Austria there is a slightly longer fermentation time, it stays cold and, as a result, is spicy, it has more bubbles than our sweeter hamburger."
However, experts can find a difference between this year's production and the half-breed varieties they have drunk in recent years. "The winemakers of this year are good, the sugar content of the grapes is high because of the sunny year and the lack of moisture. These bulbs are small this year but are full of sweet juice. But when the season started fourteen days earlier, it is quickly again last year, "explains Lubomir Dušek.
This year's harvest also provides a good basis for making wines exceptionally successful. "I am convinced that the wines of this year will also be excellent, as proven by the very first young wine from Austria, which we already have to taste," he adds.
