Nine bronze medal winners of the world championships are in the final nomination of Czech floorball players for the December World Championship in Prague. Eight players will make their debut in the selection of Finnish coach Petri Kettunen in the World Cup. Among them is sixteen-year-old striker Filip Langer from Tatran Střešovice. After a break of six years, Sparta Milan Garcar returns to the World Championship, which in 2008 was the only team in the last home championship.
Bronze medals from 2010 and 2014 have captain Matěj Jendrišák from Linköping and another striker Milan Tomašík from Mladá Boleslav. Valuable metal in Helsinki was also won by Garcar and predicted Daniel Šebek from Helsingborg. Four years later Göteborg also defended Patrik Suchanek from Helsingborg, Lukáš Veltšmíd from Malans and strikers Jiri Curney from Mladá Boleslav, Patrik Dóža from Köniz and Tom Ondrušek from Chodov.
The Garcara, Jendrisak and Tomasik are waiting for the fifth world championship. On the other hand, Langer Bauer from Mladá Boleslav, Martin Kisugite from Langnau, Martin Pražan from Chodov and attackers Adam Delong with Josef Ripar from Vítkovice and Mikuláš Krbec from Chodov will be the first to experience the atmosphere of a major international event alongside Langer-keeper Lukáš Bauer from Mladá Boleslav. Longer becomes the youngest Czech player in the history of the World Cup.
The Czech team will take part in the championship against Germany on Saturday, December 1 at 6:15 PM. A day later they wait in the base group A from 17:00 Latvia and on Tuesday 4 December from 19:30 Switzerland. All your matches will be played in the O2 Arena during the tournament.
