On the basis of a complaint from the employment office, criminologists have established that people do not suffer mental retardation. And that's because he managed to make a driver's license.
Prague – The Prague criminals are being prosecuted by a thirty-one-year-old man who, according to them, has suffered mental retardation for 12 years. He thus obtained unjustified entitlement to various social contributions and benefits for a quarter of a million kronor. He succeeded in obstructing doctors and civil servants. Men are now threatened with fraud up to eight years in prison, police spokesman Jan Danek said on the internet.
In 2006, the man applied for an invalidity pension with the Czech Social Security Administration because of a mental disorder. He was able to convince several doctors that he suffered from a moderate mental handicap with behavioral disorders and that he had an IQ of 35. He was also diagnosed with oligophrenia and stupidity with an unfavorable prognosis requiring long-term care to get the disability pension. For example, before 2018 his pension was more than 9,000 crowns per month, "said the spokesperson.
Later, he filed an application for a care allowance granted to him by the authorities on the basis of medical documentation and social research, valued at CZK 8,000 per month. "The man who pretends to be socially combative with his mother, shakes hands with a teddy bear and yells that he wants to sleep, managed to contribute to the care," Daněk added. In 2012, he also applied for a mobility allowance that he also received, valued at CZK 400 per month.
However, on the basis of a criminal complaint filed by the Czech employment office, criminologists have determined that man only pretends to have mental retardation. Among other things because he managed to obtain a driver's license. He was also convicted several times for property crimes and drug offenses and sentenced himself to death without any doubt about his psychological health, according to police officers in court or in prison.
