The accident happened Wednesday afternoon in Starý Hrozenkov. The 28-year-old driver of the BMW car went from the bistro to Stary Hrozenkov.
"He overlooked the ford along the main road to Bystřice pod Lopeníkem, so there was a collision in which a young driver, his three co-drivers and a man and a woman from the other vehicle were injured," said police spokesman Milena Šabatová from Uherske Hradiste.
"Firefighters provided wounded pre-medical assistance and made a landing site for the helicopter directly on the closed road," added the spokesperson for the regional fire brigade Lucie Javoříková.
The helicopter transported the severely injured BMW driver to the hospital in Brno and the other wounded transferred ambulances to the hospital in Uherské Hradiště.
