South Korean phone company Samsung is preparing to launch three types of foldable phones in 2021.
The “Korean giant” launched the “Galaxy Fold” in 2019, and completely reformulated in 2020 and launched the Z Fold 2, then launched a low-cost version with a clamshell design launched as the Galaxy Z Flip Lite.
Specifications and release dates for Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Fold Lite and Z Flip 2:
All three devices feature foldable Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) screens and use LTPO technology to reduce power consumption.
The cheaper Galaxy Z Fold Lite comes with an internal screen of no more than 8 inches (it will likely remain 7.6 inches), an external display of 4 inches and will be released in March 2021.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 has an internal screen of no more than 8 inches (likely to remain 7.6 inches), an LTPO 120Hz display with S Pen support and a 4-inch external display and will be launched in September.
The Galaxy Z Flip 2 will come with a 6.7-inch external display and a 3-inch internal display, and it will also launch in September.
