Egyptian girl wins the gold medal in a competition in Japan



Malika Mohammed Kira, a high school student, received the gold medal in the international art competition for high school students, organized annually by the International Foundation for Art and Culture (IFAC) in Tokyo, Japan.

Malika was the winner of the "Civilizations of Peoples" competition through her school, the Girls' High School in Byzantium, Alexandria, and was honored by the Japanese Culture and Arts Foundation, according to Women of Egypt.

Malika was one of the applicants from Egypt, where she was nominated by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, within just five panels to represent Egypt in the international competition in Japan.

She is the only Egyptian and Arab girl to win 18 gold prize winners of different nationalities and she has won the first place in the art competition. "Malika hopes to study in the Faculty of Fine Arts to realize her artistic dreams.
